Magical worlds, post-apocalyptic wastelands, Godly labyrinths, and the home of your favourite Disney characters. You can visit them all and more through the gift of gaming. This Year, we’re delving into many of these epic landscapes with the awe-inspiring scores from some of the biggest games ever. 

Award-winning video game music conductor and composer, Eímear Noone, will present some of the most iconic music from the world’s best-loved video game soundtracks. As one of the few female conductors and composers in the world of gaming and film, Eimear is responsible for composing some of the most enduring soundscapes on World of Warcraft and other best-selling games, some of which are included in the programme. Eimear has also recorded the soundtracks for Diablo III, StarCraft II, Overwatch and has conducted and recorded for Nintendo Touring and The Legend of Zelda franchise.  

The concert will feature music from the soundtrack to some of the biggest games on the planet, including The Legend of Zelda, Halo, The Last of Us, Fortnite, Fallout, StarCraft and World of Warcraft. 

From the fantastical worlds of Ori and the Will of the Wisps, Kingdom Hearts, and Baldur’s Gate to the heart-thumping action of Hades and Uncharted, winner of the Hollywood Music in Media Award for Best Video Game Score, Eimear Noone will be performing the sounds of generations of beloved video games live.

Video games have been a force in the world of arts and entertainment for many years, both on screen and through speakers. Many people have grown up playing video games and have come to love the sound of the Orchestra through playing them. Many of the best scores are esteemed works in their own right, much loved by a large number of people and have become a part of mainstream culture. These concerts are a signpost for where orchestral music is expanding.
